Jiri Sozansky was born in 1946. He attended the Academy of Arts in Prague and graduated in 1973. He devotes his attention to painting, drawing and graphic arts, using extreme situations in human existence as his themes. He has held individual exhibitions since 1976 and has taken part in collective ones in Czechoslovakia and abroad since 1977. In 1988 he participated in the 43rd Biennial in Venice. He lives in Prague.
